Position Summary

Under close supervision, performs electrical maintenance and/or repairs adhering to all safety rules.

 

  • The selected candidate will work from our Corporate Office in Erie, PA
  • The hours for this position are 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists senior electricians in inspecting and repairing electronic/electrical systems to prevent shutdowns and/or major overhauls. Assists in repairing, replacing, installing or altering systems according to trade practices and National Electrical Code.
  • Assists senior electricians in checking and maintaining systems after installations and makes necessary changes, adjustments and modifications according to blueprints, schematics and manufacturers' specifications.
  • Performs electrical maintenance including troubleshooting electronic malfunctions, maintaining or replacing electronic equipment, and installing, moving and maintaining telephone equipment.
  • Learns and applies proper maintenance and techniques on systems as required.

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or equivalent required. Successful completion of one year of trade school required. Working knowledge of proper procedures in operating high voltage equipment and in installation and maintaining telecommunications equipment required. Thorough knowledge of proper safety procedures and the National Electrical Code required. Working knowledge of electronics required. Valid drivers' license required.
