Position Summary

Coordinates transitions to new vendors, new business or technical processes, new technology or significant changes to current technology. Implements changes that will affect business or technical processes with a moderate to high impact for stakeholders and will present challenges in complexity or deadlines. May perform duties in one or more of the following disciplines: Business, Data, Business Intelligence, Security, Quality, User Experience, &/or Production Control.


This position is for an IT Business Analyst on the DSpro Web Delivery Team.  DSpro Web is ERIE’s Personal Lines of Business application our agents use to quote and sell Auto, Home, and PCL products.  The team designs and builds software solutions to deliver Grow the Business initiatives for our business partners, agents, and customers.  Agile methodology is utilized. 


Primary responsibilities for this role are:


  • Work with stakeholders to gather, define, and analyze business requirements for projects and enhancements
  • Prioritize, get feedback, and finalize business requirements to gain approval from our business partners
  • Facilitate communication between Project Managers, technology teams, support teams, and stakeholders
  • Ensure Quality Assurance Analysts and Software Engineers understand requirements
  • Document requirements for features following standards ensuring Software Engineers can effectively consume requirements to write quality code
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance Analysts and Software Engineers to develop effective test strategies
  • Collaborate with UX to develop an optimal end user experience
  • Participates in user acceptance testing and exploratory testing
  • Working knowledge of Agile Methodologies
  • Working knowledge of end to end SDLC process

    Minimum Educational Requirements and Experience Equivalencies: • Bachelor's degree in IT, MIS, Business or related field, plus two years' related experience; or • Associate's degree in a technical field, plus four years' related experience; or • High school diploma plus six years' related experience.
