Position Summary

Provides oversight of direct investments. Acts as investment lead with all direct investments, including co-investments with existing General Partner relationships. Position will lead and coordinate Investment Division efforts to analyze direct investments in “Qualified Opportunity Zones”. Assists the alternative asset investment team in due diligence and other analyses as necessary. Performs significant ad-hoc analysis in support of the investment process.

 

 

 

The Hiring Manager will also consider candidates for Portfolio Manager, Direct Investment.  Level of position offered will be based upon the depth and breadth of selected candidate’s experience and qualifications.    

Duties and Responsibilities

Designs and implements processes for due diligence, approval and monitoring direct investments.

 

Provides in depth analyses and diligence with respect to “opportunity zone investments” and other direct investments.

 

Works closely with existing General Partners to underwrite direct co-investment opportunities.

 

Manages processes for measuring and monitoring direct investment performance.
 

Provides ongoing support for internal/external auditors, investment accounting and reporting and other stakeholders as required.
 

Provides support in preparation for various committee approval meetings.
 

Develops ad-hoc analytical models and conducts investment research in support of the investment process.
 

 

Reviews research information received from outside sources and evaluates impact on the portfolio. Attends investment industry meetings when appropriate.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent, required. Four years’ experience in private market investments or equivalent investment experience required. Direct real estate investing experience preferred.  Knowledge of “opportunity zone” investing preferred.  Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software required.  Master’s Degree, Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation strongly preferred.
