Position Summary

Under minimal supervision, sets up, operates and maintains various types of bindery equipment to ensure that all projects are completed on time, according to customer specifications.

 

Previous bindery experience strongly preferred. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepares, adjusts, operates and maintains various types of bindery equipment, including laminator, paper cutter, paper punch, folder, collator, binder/stitcher and shrink wrap machines, according to project specifications.
  • Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on all bindery equipment.
  • Reviews all printed material for quality assurance. Informs section supervisor of any quality assurance concerns related to printing or bindery.
  • Maintains paper inventory to ensure adequate paper supply.
  • Completes special projects as required.

Qualifications

High school diploma, or equivalent, required. Vocational school training in press operation/bindery work or three years of related experience, or equivalent, required. Working knowledge of ERIE's bindery equipment required.
