Position Summary

Monitors and inspects job site construction activities and reports back to the appropriate Construction Manager..

Duties and Responsibilities

Develops specifications, construction and contract documents for branch office construction, remodeling and service contracts. Reviews all construction and remodeling drawings to ensure drawings are accurate and completed.

 

Inspects work being put into place. Documents, reports and tracks any concerns or deficiencies regarding quality, commissioning and safety. Notifies the Construction Manager of any issues and perform follow up measures as directed.

 

Coordinates work activities with contractors, external construction managers, architects, engineers, third party inspection agencies and ERIE internal project teams, and monitors third party project testing requirements.

 

Takes project photos to be used to provide additional documentation of construction progress and quality. Coordinates and accompanies site inspections by ERIE project team representatives. Monitors the as built process and ensure compliance.

 

Monitors that the materials being installed have been submitted and approved prior to installation.  Attends project related meetings such as job conferences, contractor coordination meetings and preinstallation conferences.

 

Monitors project closeout requirements and punch list item completion. Provides periodic update on status to Construction Manager.

 

Reviews, tracks, prepares & submits various logs and information throughout the project.

 

Reviews job progress on a weekly basis as it relates to the contractor’s construction schedule. Confirms status and report any areas of concern to Construction Manager.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED plus four years of construction supervision, including project monitoring, scheduling, estimating, and blueprint reading or Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management.

 

Travel to field offices to supervise facility projects required. Good driving record and valid driver’s license required.
