Position Summary
Provides leadership and is accountable for directing information technology operations. Oversees performance of complex analytics and modelling on large data sets to inform vulnerabilities, threats, and compliance within the organization. Researches, educates, and presents enterprise recommendations on new ways of applying monitoring and threat identification. Recommends and develops standards.
What You'll Do:
This opportunity is for a Director of Information Security to provide leadership for the Governance, Risk Management & Compliance; Identity & Access Management; Vulnerability Management; and Security Awareness and Education areas within Enterprise Information Security. This role will collaborate across the entire IT organization and with other risk assurance areas across the enterprise to manage enterprise risk and ensure regulatory compliance.
Preferred Experience & Skills:
- Knowledge or experience in one or more information security domains

- Knowledge of one or more compliance standards, such as, NIST Cybersecurity Framework (NIST CSF), or New York Department of Financial Services Part 500 Cybersecurity Regulation, etc
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages overall operations of designated area of authority. Interviews, hires, trains, and directs personnel. Prepares and conducts performance assessments, coordinates discipline and oversees employee development as required.
- Oversees and plans the organizational structure, operating policies and procedures and management practices to ensure division delivers services and products with operational excellence. Responsible for organizational change management and resource planning to support capabilities.
- Enables effective relationships to influence acceptance of practices and approaches related to tactical and strategy development with business, vendors, and IT management at all levels.
- Provides input to the annual budget, ensuring that performance objectives are met at the lowest cost. Continually monitors expenses throughout the year and revises expectations as needed.
- Keeps abreast of emerging trends within the discipline. Uncovers and implements strategies to compete and remain competitive in the industry.

Qualifications
Minimum Educational and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in IT, MIS, Business, or related field, and eight years’ related experience; or
- Associate degree in a technical field, and ten years' related experience; or
- High school diploma and twelve years' related experience required.
- Advanced Degree preferred.
