Position Summary
Supports the strategic operating rhythm and assists in strategy development efforts. Conducts moderate to high complexity strategy analysis to collect, create, and disseminate information/recommendations that create alignment and guide decision making. Builds internal and external partnerships to support ERIE’s ability to mature a continuous strategy process. Iterates and adapts strategy artifacts with speed, nimbleness, flexibility, and a strong comfort with ambiguity.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Facilitates the development / maintenance of tools and artifacts that support the strategic operating rhythm and promote collaboration among senior leaders.
- Monitors and executes continuous improvement efforts rooted in usage data and senior leader feedback.
- Synthesizes knowledge of market dynamics, emerging risks, and company's internal operations to develop forward-looking focus for the Enterprise.
- Translates complex topics / data into a clear story and direction, including data visualization and building frameworks often from nothing.
- Works with internal stakeholders to understand strategic priorities using a high EQ/ political acumen as a change agent and influencer toward strategic alignment and prioritization.
- Supports the strategic planning team in the development of key strategies.
- Helps develop strategy communications (e.g., messaging) to achieve alignment across the organization.
- Supports the strategic planning team in the development, execution, and maintenance of a system to proactively measure strategy effectiveness.
- Partners with a cross-functional team to develop, implement, and measure strategy-level communications and change plans.

Qualifications
Minimum Educational and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and four years of strategy-related experience, required; or
- Associate degree and six years of strategy-related experience, required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
Additional Experience
- Understanding of strategic and operational planning concepts required.
- Prior experience planning analysis and other projects that support strategy preferred.
- Experience with Agile methodology (Scrum, Kanban, LEAN, OKRs, etc.) at the enterprise-level preferred.
- Knowledge of Change Management techniques preferred.
- Knowledge of the insurance industry preferred.
