Position Summary

Coordinates transitions to new vendors, new business or technical processes, new technology or significant changes to current technology. Implements changes that will affect business or technical processes with a moderate to high impact for stakeholders and will present challenges in complexity or deadlines. May perform duties in one or more of the following disciplines: Business Data Business Intelligence Security Quality User Experience Production Control

 

This role will be working with the personal lines Integration team in the capacity of data requirement gathering, data mapping, and data modeling between our policy administration, management, and down-stream consuming systems/applications.
 

  • Activities include data analysis & problem solving, data differentiation, data elements, data modeling, canonical data mapping, QA testing of transactional and reporting systems data services.
     

Preferred Experience & Skills include:
 

  • Experience in requirement gathering; handling business and technical issues while communicating with both business and technical users.
  • Experience in developing appropriate data requirements documentation in line with SDLC framework including data requirements, logical mappings, and canonical mappings.
  • Experience in developing data flows, application and ER diagrams, technical specifications, implement tools, scripts, and queries.
  • Experience and/or understanding of data transformation, data mapping from source to target database schemas, and data cleansing.
  • Experience in developing conceptual, logical models, and physical database design for online transactional processing (OLTP) and online analytical processing (OLAP) systems.
  • Strong data analysis experience in data migration projects including good understanding of NoSQL (XML document database) internals, features, and configurations.
  • Experience in interpretation of business reporting data needs.
  • Ensuring data model changes are designs are in alignment with enterprise data standards inclusive of appropriate naming best practices.
  • Solid understanding of data warehouse concepts and well versed with data profiling, data migration, and data conversions.
  • Strong working experience with agile and waterfall methodologies.
  • Experience in application / service testing.
  • Self-motivated, diligent, ability to adapt to new environments and situations quickly.

Minimum Educational Requirements and Experience Equivalencies: • Bachelor's degree in IT, MIS, Business or related field, plus two years' related experience; or • Associate's degree in a technical field, plus four years' related experience; or • High school diploma plus six years' related experience.
