Position Summary
Independently, with moderate supervision elicits, analyzes, documents, and validates the business requirements of stakeholders and end users and translates into functional and technical requirements for low to moderate complexity projects, enhancements and regulatory and compliance initiatives.
Acts as liaison between the business users and IT. Makes recommendations to address specific business needs for information technology-based solutions. Collaborates with multiple cross-functional areas externally and internally in the implementation of system and business processes. Defines system scope and objectives as well as the content of required documentation. Evaluates new software products to determine their applicability to current and future IT environments. Manages vendor relationships including issue notifications and follow-up until resolution, supports break/fix items in production systems.
What You'll Do:
This is an opportunity for an IT Business Systems Analyst to participate in the business analyst effort for Erie Family Life initiatives. Currently, this work is focused on the Erie Family Life technology platform framework re-structuring which will optimize agent and customer utilization. This program is transitioning Erie's Life products to both new front-end and back-end modern technical platforms. This role would be an opportunity to participate and deliver a large-scale, high-priority effort from the Business Systems Analyst perspective, across multiple business and IT units in an Agile environment.
May perform duties in one or more of the following related disciplines: business requirement elicitation and story card drafting, quality analysis and testing, plan adherence, technical process design adherence, stakeholder engagement management, and business product analytics. Participates in the execution and implementation of technology solutions and enterprise standards and works to assure successful outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitors, analyzes, and prioritizes issues identified within an application or environment and resolves issues after thorough root cause analysis.
- Research, reviews, and analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of team methodologies and processes and develops strategies for continuous improvement.
- Learns and applies knowledge of business analysis tools such as requirement elicitation techniques, work breakdown, Root Cause Analysis, problem statement generation and analysis of alternatives.
- Creates new documentation and/or updates existing documentation to account for any project effort, enhancement, defect, or regulatory changes, such as business or technical manuals, IT training/onboarding, Knowledge Articles, or System Documentation.

Qualifications
Minimum Educational Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in IT, MIS, Business, or related field and two years’ related experience; or
- Associate degree in a technical field, and four years' related experience; or
- High school diploma and six years' related experience required.
