Position Summary
With self-managed scope requiring very little supervision, leads the business analysis discipline across a portfolio, ensuring consistency and quality of the processes, practices, and deliverables throughout teams of high complexity projects, enhancements and regulatory and compliance initiatives.
Acts as liaison between the business users and IT. Makes recommendations to address specific business needs for information technology-based solutions. Collaborates with multiple cross-functional areas externally and internally in the implementation of system and business processes. Defines system scope and objectives as well as the content of required documentation. Evaluates new software products to determine their applicability to current and future IT environments. Manages vendor relationships including issue notifications and follow-up until resolution, supports break/fix items in production systems.
What You'll Do
The person in this role will be aligned to support the Product Portfolio with the opportunity to support Personal and Commercial Products, Erie Family Life, and Sales and Marketing initiatives. This opportunity is for a Lead IT Analyst to support IT teams delivering the highest priority initiatives. They will collaborate with IT leadership and project team leads to analyze the team's as-is processes and current state to help determine areas of focus. This person will also assist in understanding each of the team's goals and OKRs with the intent of collaborating to create a plan to improve efficiency and execution of the team's deliverables.
Preferred Experience & Skills
Depth and breadth in multiple analyst practices as well as multiple ERIE systems and applications, with a specific depth in Business Systems Analysis. Experience leading complex delivery initiatives involving multiple execution teams and collaboration with multiple other IT teams and functions.
What Makes You Stand Out
Experience in Agile framework, process, and practices. Experience in other IT functionality preferred but not required (e.g. project management).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs complex business analysis activities at the strategic, operational, and organizational level.
- Collaborates with other analysts to ensure consistency of industry best practices, standards, and consistency for a portfolio, develops and documents portfolio standards and procedures to ensure teams are aligned.
- Creates application and product specific onboarding plans for the business analysis discipline within a portfolio. Drives discipline best practices, standards, and consistency for the portfolio.
- Leads the elicitation, analysis, documentation, and validation of the business and technical requirements of stakeholders and end users using techniques such as workshops, interviews, use cases, research etc., and translates into functional and technical requirements for high complexity projects or initiatives.

Qualifications
Minimum Educational and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in IT, MIS, Business, or related field, and six years’ related experience; or
- Associate degree in a technical field, and eight years' related experience; or
- High school diploma and ten years' related experience required.
