Position Summary
With limited supervision, using various tools and techniques of the Quality Analyst (QA) discipline, completes moderate to high complexity test activities following QA standards and procedures.
Responsible for manual and automated testing of systems and applications software. Creates test strategies and plans. Develops and executes test scripts. Creates and conditions test data. Defect management and resolution.
What You'll Do:
This opportunity is for a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst who will spearhead the quality and test strategy of an Information Technology (IT) department. This person will provide expert insights to our Agile Product teams, discovery team, and production support team. The Senior QA analyst will assist in the enhancement of our defect and test case management processes, as well as our risk identification and mitigation efforts. This role will be pivotal in driving innovative solutions, maintaining operational excellence, and enhancing the quality metrics of our IT lifecycle.
Preferred Experience & Skills:
- Experience writing and reviewing test strategies and plans
- Advanced experience writing and reviewing test cases
- Advanced experience reviewing regression test suites
- Knowledge of Jira application and Agile processes
What Makes You Stand Out:
- Ability to write and review automation test scripts for completeness and errors
- Some knowledge of Life Insurance or Insurance practices
- Proficiency in Selenium
Duties and Responsibilities
- Serves as the project team lead; creates quality assurance deliverables, activities, tools and processes (test strategy, test plans, test scripts, defect documentation, management and resolution, etc) for moderate to high complexity efforts.
- Creates, updates, executes & troubleshoots manual and automated test scripts. Basic understanding of automation framework development.
- Analyzes and identifies repeatable test patterns or regression test suites to reduce time to market and costs associated with testing.
- Understands, creates and maintains the automation suite for the project team by ensuring tests adhere to the standards for automation framework; create, update and maintain automated test scripts; drive compliance and adoption of test automation.
- Reviews less experienced quality analyst deliverables.

Qualifications
Minimum Educational and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in IT, MIS, Business or related field, plus five years related experience, or;
- Associate degree in a technical field, plus seven years related experience, or;
- High School Diploma plus nine years' related experience
