Position Summary
Under close supervision, orders risk control surveys by gathering information from numerous sources. Resolves issues with agents, underwriting, and risk control on surveys and service requests. Supports the department with general administrative duties.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Creates account and work orders in work management software system as requested from various sources including underwriting portal, agent requests, consultants, management, or others. Ensures correct data entry of account and work orders using available corporate systems.
- Communicates with agents and underwriters in a professional manner to clarify any questions or concerns. Ensures accurate use of Risk Control Survey Ordering Guidelines to control use of resources.
- Works with various inspection vendors to create vendor work order requests, acts as a liaison between consultant and vendor to resolve issues. Tracks vendor activity.
- Maintains Risk Control Department Team Rosters.
- Oversee specialty insurer and reinsurer work orders for service requests, updates recommendation log, and performs other vendor related duties as assigned.
- Supports department growth by supporting consultants, department leadership, and State Commercial Insurance Managers.

Qualifications
Minimum Educational Requirements
- High school diploma, or GED, required.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Additional Experience
- Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software required.
- Familiarity with ERIE’s products, systems and processes preferred.
- Working knowledge of on-line systems such as QAS, PMS, RCT and RCT Zendesk, Underwriting Portal, on-line manuals, and e-mail preferred.
