Position Summary
Under close supervision, processes and/or generates policy non-renewals, cancellations and basic endorsements. Performs clerical function according to established schedules and deadlines. Acquires a fundamental knowledge of all lines of business. Provides service by interacting with underwriters, agents, policyholders and business partners to respond to inquiries.
- The successful candidate will work from the Knowledge Park Office.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Utilizes policy dashboards, and databases to manage tasks, generate policy non-renewals, cancellations and manage various workload functions. Enters data into various systems and forwards forms to necessary areas as required.
- Types information from various source documents for various lines of business, including applications, renewals, endorsements, cancellations and inspection requests.
- Performs various clerical activities, including answering phones, updating systems as required, retrieving information, preparing policies, for renewal, monitoring diaries and processing reports.
- Proofreads all typed data for accuracy and inserts proper enclosures as necessary.
- Reviews Policyholder records to verify coverage, collaborates with State Departments and responds to inquiries regarding coverages, properly handles exceptions and record changes as required. Collaborates with business partners throughout ERIE to respond to requests and answer inquiries regarding customer's policies and updates.
- Receives, opens, sorts and distributes incoming mail. Handles simple requests from mailings, including updating of policy records.
- Acquires and applies a fundamental knowledge of proper mailing procedures and identification of attachments/ enclosures for all lines of business.
- Performs quality analysis.
- Assists the section supervisor with team administrative tasks and projects - including subject matter expert (SME) for department projects as applicable.

Qualifications
Minimum Educational and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma, or GED, required.
- Two years of clerical, customer service, or administrative experience preferred.
Additional Experience
- Ability to enter data with speed and accuracy required.
- Working knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing, and database software preferred.
